Hotel Ambica Katra, Katra (Jammu and Kashmir)

The hotel has average rooms, but the bathrooms could have been cleaner. The service is good overall, though sometimes I had to request room cleaning and bed linen changes more than once. The location is excellent, very near the main market and bus stand. The dining experience was good, and the facilities were satisfactory.

The hotel offers rooms that don't quite meet the standards of a 4-5-star property, leaving us feeling that the value for money was lacking. After a tiring day of going up the mountain for darshan and coming down, the hotel's rooms are at par with any 4-5star property you would expect. Although they may be of an old type compared to newer hotels in Katra, they are not that much outdated, and I would surely visit again whenever I return to Vaishnoi Devi.
